Just as each sunrise heralds a fresh canvas of colors in the sky, so too does knowing your motivations paint your life with vibrant hues, enriching every step you take. So, embrace the enigma of your motivations, let them be your guiding stars, and with every heartbeat, let your uniqueness shine like a beacon, illuminating the path to your truest, most authentic self.

Winston Churchill once said that, “Success is not final; failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts.” In every dream or plan for success, there is always something that pushes you to pull up the socks and put your all efforts and intellect to think and wage power to struggle reaching it. It is very important to know what pushes makes you dream and struggle towards your goals, it is as knowing a mathematical table when solving mathematics and it is as knowing proper functioning keys when using a laptop.

Many of us, we are pushed by the desire to serve and help our parents, and this a dream of every bird which can fly to land over every kind of trees. Besides, there are other many factors that pushes us, and it very significant to analyze them down, ponder in deep and determine how are going to achieve it through your goals. Those things will be always motiving you to walk in sunshine and rainfall but remaining in focus and desire to attain goals. It is your duty to recognize what gives you power to walk even when you dead, to know what keeps you in a struggle momentum even whenever millions stand against and fight you.

Everyone inspires someone in some ways

Sociologists and Psychologists tell us that even the most introverted person will motivate ten thousand other people during his or her lifetime. This amazing statistic was shared with me by my psychology lecturer Sr. Dr. Solome Najjuka. Sister Najjuka and I concluded that each one of us is both inspiring and being inspired by others. That means that all of us are inspiring in some areas, while in other areas we are being inspired. No one is excluded from being a reinforcer. Realizing your potential as an individual is your responsibility. And by doing so, there are many people who are going to be inspired and imitate some of your ways. Let me illustrate it well. The mother may be the dominant reinforcer over a child in his or her behaviour according to the way she does things. For instance, my mother inspired me with the spirit of resilience that has brough me thus far and above all being a heart of charity and compassion that I have learnt from her.

I have brought this to your awareness to grasp it well. There are many people who are inspired by the way you do your things. Consequently, I urge you to be smart and systematic in the way you plan or perform your duties or things. Doing it in good ways inspire other people positively and even challenge them to grow. In fact, doing things in bad ways negatively impact those who are inspired by you. It is better you understand that, you are a social being living in the society which its people learn from other people to build up our own behavior.

We never know who or how much we inspire

The most effective and applicable way to understand the power of inspiration is to ponder of the times you have been touched by the inspiration of a person or an event. Big events leave marks on all our lives and memories. It is like a sharp knife of a short life. There are many events, times or people who inspire us in different ways either positively or negatively. It is important to keep in mind that, we inspire as many people as we cannot imagine and it is our great duty to compose and model ourselves in sensitive and meaningful way. It does not matter what you do, it can be a big or even a minor thing but leaving impacts to the people.

I remember when I was in form five in 2019, having a tendency to deliver morning speeches, one of the form one students followed me and said, “Brother, I appreciate the way you articulate your voice and deliver a message confidently.” It is still in Advanced level after being elected a Chairperson of Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB), Female and Male Club (FEMA) and Roots and Shoots (The Jane Goodall Institute) inspired many students in my leadership especially when we won a FEMA competition and became among the top five schools in Tanzania to attend the FEMA annual Youth Conference of 2020 in Dar es salaam. Finally, I was awarded a certificate of appreciation for being a good student and role model among fellow students.

“The more you inspire others, the more you inspire yourself.” Maximilian Kikwembe, Swahili Apologist

Never ever take anything for granted, there are many people behind of you inspiring them. You never know how much you inspire them but keep doing it good and few will give you the remarks as I used to receive. In fact, the more you inspire others is the more you inspire yourself, the more you inspired to push it up, the more you are inspired to inspire.

Deep inside each of us, there’s something that drives and keeps us moving forward: our motivation. It’s like a precious treasure we must find to understand ourselves better. When we discover what motivates us, it becomes our guiding light in life. It helps us stay focused and strong during tough times, making us more determined to achieve our dreams. Our motivations act as lighthouses, guiding us on the right path. They give meaning to everything we do and remind us of our goals and dreams. Embracing our motivations gives us a clear sense of purpose and pushes us to do our best, no matter the size of the task. This treasure of motivation keeps us inspired, encouraging us to reach new heights and leave our mark in the world.
